About the Journal

The guiding principles of the Journal of Youth Scientific Research (JYSR) are the following:

  • To provide young scientists with a professional review of their scientific work (i.e. by a scholar pursuing or having obtained a PhD in a related field). Papers are only accepted to JYSR after passing a professional review, consisting of criteria similar to those of professional journals.
  • To provide young scientists with a high-quality outlet to share their scientific research with the world. Only modest fees will be collected at the time of review/publication. This is not a pay-to-publish journal, and only papers that have met the required standards and passed professional review will be accepted. Our target acceptance rate is around 25 percent of submitted papers; the actual rate may vary depending on the overall quality of submissions.
  • To encourage genuine scientific research in young scientists. Submitted work must always be a student's own, and, in general, a student must provide the name and contact information of a mentor or sponsor that is familiar with their work. In addition, publications must adhere to strict policies on the usage of artificial intelligence (AI) at the time of submission.

JYSR is committed to being an open access journal (i.e. publications are free to read), and will maintain an open list of editors whose academic credentials can be readily verified.
